Summary

Sattal, also known as Sat Tal, is a network of seven natural freshwater lakes in Uttarakhand’s Bhimtal district. Sattal, located at an elevation of around 1,370 metres and set against a stunning backdrop of dense oak and pine forest, reveals the rustic charm of the lower Himalayas. The region is well-known for its diverse wildlife, which includes over 500 species of resident and migratory birds, as well as over 500 species of butterflies, moths, beetles, and other insects
Manila is a small village located approximately 87 km from Ranikhet. This lesser-known location sits at an elevation of 1,820 metres in Uttarakhand’s Kumaon area. This location, which is home to Shri. Manila Devi, provides an abundance of calm and tranquilly. Manila also has breathtaking panoramic views of the great Himalayas, stretching from Trishul to Panchchulli, including the Nanda Devi peaks. Manila is also known for Cheer Pheasant and Koklass Pheasant, among other bird species.

Itinerary

Day 1:

The distance from Kathgodam to Sattal is approximately 35 km. It takes roughly 1:30 hours to get there owing to the mountainous terrain. The tour begins at Kathgodam Railway Station. - We travel by road to Sattal. - Check-in - Breakfast at the hotel - Morning birding - Lunch at the hotel - Time to relax. - Evening birding session at chaffi - Overnight in Sattal.

Day 2: The day starts at 5 AM. -

We begin our Dawn Birding session at first light. - Breakfast on the field/hotel. - Morning birding at Shyam Khet - Lunch at the hotel. - Take some time to rest. - Evening birding session at the Sattal studio. - Overnight in Sattal.

Day 3 begins at 5 AM. -

We begin our Dawn Birding session at first light. - Breakfast on the field/hotel. - After breakfast, check out and transfer to Manila. - Bird watching while on the way. - Take a break for lunch when travelling. - An evening birding session in Manila. - Overnight in Manila.

Day 4: The day starts at 5 AM. -

We begin our Dawn Birding session at first light. - Breakfast on the field/hotel. - After breakfast, check out and transfer to Sattal. - Bird watching while on the way. - Lunch is served en way. - Evening birding session. - Overnight in Sattal.

Day 5 begins at 5 a.m. with a dawn birding session. -

Breakfast on the field/hotel. - Morning birding session near Sattal - Hotel lunch. - Check-out - Birding session in Chaffi - Transfer to the Kathgodam Railway Station. - Tour concludes.
